The Educators vs Allied School: Fees, Curriculum and the Franchise Campus Reality
Both are franchise networks backed by big education groups, both teach towards Matric, and neither posts a network-wide price list. In Islamabad, where branches file their fees with the regulator, what parents pay differs widely from one branch to the next.
Short answer
Neither brand is reliably cheaper or better, because both are franchise networks and what you get depends on the branch. The Educators (a Beaconhouse project) and Allied Schools (part of Punjab Group) both teach a national-curriculum route to Matric. Islamabad's fee register shows that branches of the same brand file very different fees, so compare the written fee schedules of the actual campuses near you.
How we researched this: On 6 October 2026 we read educators.edu.pk and alliedschools.edu.pk, including their admissions, fee, franchise and FAQ pages, Allied's 2025 prospectus and both networks' online campus finders. We also read the class-wise fees that each brand's Islamabad branches have filed with ICT-PEIRA, and a Dawn report on the Competition Commission's inquiry into school supplies. A script tallied the matching names in SchoolNama's directory. We have not ranked either brand, and we left out the placeholder fees and sample reviews that sit in SchoolNama's directory.
Parents weighing The Educators against Allied School are usually comparing two neighbourhood schools with famous names on the gate. Behind each name is a franchise network. A local owner runs the branch under a licence, while the head office supplies the curriculum, books, training and brand. Picking a logo therefore settles very little. What matters is whether the particular branch you can reach is well run, honestly priced and right for your child. This guide sets out what each network says about itself, where the two differ, and how to check a branch before you pay.
The Educators' website brands it 'A Project of Beaconhouse'. It says it was launched in 2002 and tells prospective franchisees that its associates benefit from the equity and repute of the Beaconhouse Group. Allied Schools sits inside Punjab Group. Allied's 2025 prospectus lists Allied Schools among the institutions chaired by Mian Amer Mahmood, chairman of Punjab Group of Colleges, and its franchise application form is headed 'Allied Schools & Punjab Colleges Systems'. Several Allied regional sales offices, including those in Islamabad, Faisalabad, Sialkot and Sargodha, are listed at Punjab College addresses.
Treat each network's size claims as rough. The Educators' home page says it has more than 1,000 campuses in over 275 cities and more than 240,000 students. Its 'At a Glance' page gives 225,000-plus students, and its FAQ page still says 900-plus campuses, 200,000-plus students and 225-plus cities. Allied's home page counters climb to 1,075+ campuses, 290,000+ currently enrolled students and 200+ cities. Its About page repeats the campus and city figures but puts students at 260,000+, so even the head-office pages give two different student totals. Head-office totals like these say nothing about the quality of one particular branch.
The networks' campus finders are more concrete, but they need care too. The Educators' locator says it lists only 'Approved Campuses'. When we queried it city by city for all 198 cities it offers, it returned 545 distinct branches, well short of the 1,000-plus the home page claims. Allied's store locator returned 1,359 entries across Pakistan. That figure includes obvious repeats: in Islamabad, for example, the G-10, G-13, Excel (I-8/4) and Pak-Korang campuses each appear twice. Some entries also carry a city that does not match the address. The second table gives each network's locator count for every city where SchoolNama operates. These locators are good for spotting branches close to you; as a measure of network size they are unreliable.
Allied's site carries a 2023 post titled 'Allied Schools Authorized Campuses List', but the lists inside it would not load when we tried. If a school near you uses either name and does not appear in the network's finder, ask the regional office whether it is a current franchise. Allied's contact page lists regional offices in Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi/Islamabad, Faisalabad, Multan, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Sargodha, Peshawar, Quetta, Sahiwal, Jhelum and Muzaffarabad. The Educators runs five regions (North, Centre, Faisalabad, Multan and South), each with its own relationship and academics team.
On curriculum the two networks are closer than their branding suggests. Neither website describes a Cambridge O Level programme. Both describe the national route through Class X, with Matric examined by the local Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education. The Educators says its academic department issues term-wise Curriculum Resource Packs and Daily Lesson Plans to teachers, built on a central book list of private and government publications. It says its academic year can vary with regional board requirements. Allied says its head office academics department prepares lesson plans, support material for Classes IX and X, and standardised exams and admission tests. Its 2026 admissions page advertises a hybrid digital curriculum called ARVO. Allied's FAQ also says campuses in Punjab must register with the provincial School Education Department and seek board affiliation for Classes IX and X, and that the campus administration, not the head office, is responsible for doing so.
Class ranges differ from branch to branch. Allied's admissions page describes five campus types, from a pre-school that stops at Prep to a comprehensive school running from Toddlers to Class X. The Educators' franchise page lists six models, from a stand-alone pre-school to a comprehensive school. A junior branch near home may mean a move at Class 6 or Class 9, so ask which classes the campus actually teaches and where its Class X students sit their board exams. If you are still deciding on the exam route itself, /news/o-levels-vs-matric-in-pakistan weighs it up.
Admission steps are similar. The Educators says there is no written test for pre-school. Children joining KG or Class I are tested in English, Urdu and Mathematics, with an oral General Knowledge component, and Classes II to VII are tested in English, Urdu, Mathematics and Science. A child must pass the written test before the school head interviews the child and parents. Allied says admission depends on seat availability, an admission test and an interview. Toddlers, Playgroup and Nursery children are interviewed only, Prep adds a written test, Classes I to V are tested in English, Urdu and Mathematics, and Science is added from Class VI. Both age charts place Class I at five to six years, but their pre-school bands differ, so check the cut-off with the branch.
No price list for the whole network appears on either website. The Educators' FAQ answers 'What is the fee structure?' by pointing to its admission procedure page, which gives no fee figures. Allied's FAQ is more specific about the types of charge. It says fees are charged at rates the head office prescribes for each academic year, and it tells campuses not to charge more and parents not to pay more than those rates. It lists a one-time, non-refundable admission fee plus a non-refundable admission processing fee, an annual subscription fee, and, normally, two months' tuition in advance on the fee challan. It also lists a one-time security deposit that is refundable but will 'only be refunded at the time of student's Leaving the Campus'. The FAQ links to a fee-structure page for the rates, but that link returned a 'page not found' error on 6 October 2026. Ask the branch for the head office's prescribed schedule for this session in writing.
Islamabad's fee register shows how much branches of one brand can differ. Private schools in the capital give ICT-PEIRA their class-wise fees when they register or renew, and the regulator publishes those filings online. On 6 October 2026 a search found 14 entries for The Educators and 18 for Allied School. Among the branches with a 2026-27 filing, Grade I ranged from Rs 5,500 to Rs 10,000 at The Educators and from Rs 2,200 to Rs 6,450 at Allied. The ranges overlap. Allied's G-10 campus filed Rs 6,450 for Grade I in 2026-27, more than the Rs 5,500 filed by The Educators' primary school in G-10/1 for the same year. Many branches have not filed recently, so their figures are older. Nowhere does the register state the period these amounts cover, so do not assume they are monthly. PEIRA also warns that schools supply the data themselves and answer for any errors in it.
The filings also show why the charges around tuition matter. Nine Educators branches in the capital have filed for 2025-26 or later. Their admission fees run from Rs 5,000 up to Rs 20,000, and eight of the nine add a line for 'Other Annual Charges'. The seven Allied branches with recent filings show admission fees of Rs 2,000 to Rs 4,000, and three list none at all. Some filings look odd. The Educators' Federal Campus, for instance, filed two columns for 2025-26 that are lower than its 2024-25 figures. Treat the register as a starting point and ask the branch to confirm its current schedule. Our Islamabad budget-schools piece, /news/low-fee-schools-in-islamabad, shows step by step how to look a school up.
Supplies are a second cost line worth pinning down. Both networks run central supply systems. The Educators tells franchisees that stationery and uniforms are bought through a centralised buying unit, and Allied's FAQ says its supply chain department supplies Allied and Resource Academia publications, kits and the Allied uniform to campuses. According to a Dawn report of 21 November 2025, the Competition Commission of Pakistan sent show-cause notices to 17 private school chains, accusing them of making parents buy branded stationery and uniforms only through approved sellers. Allied Schools was among the systems Dawn named, and so was the Beaconhouse School System, the parent brand behind The Educators. The Educators itself was not named in that list, which ended with 'among others'. Those were the commission's allegations; we could not find any final ruling on them. Ask any branch what the books and uniform cost and whether you may buy them elsewhere.
Before you commit, read the exit terms. The Educators says parents who withdraw a child must give one month's notice in writing or pay one month's fee instead. It allows transfers between its branches in the same or another city, but the receiving campus charges a transfer processing fee. Allied says its security deposit moves with the child on an inter-city transfer and is refunded when the child leaves. We found nothing on either website about what happens to pupils if a franchise closes or loses its licence, so ask the branch how long it has held the franchise.
SchoolNama's own data is still thin for both brands. Across our 15 launch cities, 71 listings have names beginning 'The Educators' and 93 begin 'Allied School' or 'Allied Schools'. Most are in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Only 9 of the Educators listings and 15 of the Allied listings are linked to the network so far, all in Islamabad. Similar names are not proof of membership, and our records lag both networks' own finders by a wide margin, especially in Lahore and Karachi. With a shortlist of two, the /compare tool lays their profiles out together. For other options near home, browse /islamabad, /rawalpindi, /lahore or /karachi; for van and transport costs, try /pick-and-drop. If your child needs support for board exams, /tutors lists tutors by city.

Checklist before you decide
- ✓Find the branches of each network within a reasonable commute using the network's own finder, and note which classes each one teaches.
- ✓If a school uses either name but is missing from the finder, ask the network's regional office whether it is a current franchise.
- ✓Ask which board your child will sit Matric with, and whether the branch has its own board affiliation for Classes IX and X or sends students elsewhere.
- ✓Before any money changes hands, get every charge on paper: admission and processing fees, the security deposit, annual or subscription charges, tuition, and the number of months billed upfront.
- ✓At an Allied branch, ask for the head office's prescribed rates for this session and the written terms for refunding the security deposit.
- ✓At an Educators branch, ask about the notice period for withdrawal and the transfer charge if you might move cities.
- ✓Find out the yearly bill for books, notebooks and uniform, and which items you are free to source from the market.
- ✓Islamabad parents can check the branch's latest PEIRA filing against the fee slip the school hands them.
- ✓Ask for the branch's own recent board results: how many students sat and how their marks were spread, not network-wide toppers.
- ✓See both finalist branches in person on a school day, then line them up on /compare and work out transport costs on /pick-and-drop.
Frequently asked questions
The Educators or Allied School: which should I choose?
Choose the branch, not the brand. Both are franchise networks teaching a national-curriculum route to Matric, and their branches differ in fees, class range and management. Compare the two or three branches you can reach on their written fees, the classes they teach, their recent board results and the commute.
Which is cheaper, The Educators or Allied School?
That varies branch by branch, and neither head office posts a price list. In Islamabad's ICT-PEIRA register, Grade I fees filed for 2026-27 ranged from Rs 5,500 to Rs 10,000 at Educators branches and from Rs 2,200 to Rs 6,450 at Allied branches, and the ranges overlap. The register leaves the fee period unstated. Collect each branch's schedule on paper and total what a full year would cost you.
Who owns The Educators and Allied Schools?
The Educators calls itself 'A Project of Beaconhouse', and its franchise pages refer to the Beaconhouse Group. Allied Schools is part of Punjab Group: its prospectus lists it among institutions chaired by Punjab Group's chairman, and its franchise form is headed 'Allied Schools & Punjab Colleges Systems'. Individual branches are run by local franchise owners.
Do The Educators or Allied Schools offer O Level?
Neither website describes a Cambridge O Level programme. Both describe classes up to Class X with Matric examined by the local board. If you want O Level, ask the specific branch, and see SchoolNama's guide at /news/o-levels-vs-matric-in-pakistan.
Is Allied School's security deposit refundable?
Allied's FAQ says the one-time security deposit is refundable, but only when the student leaves the campus on completing their education or withdrawing. It says the deposit is transferred if the child moves to an Allied campus in another city. The admission fee and admission processing fee are non-refundable. Get the deposit amount and refund terms from the branch in writing.
How do I know a branch is a genuine franchise?
Check the network's own campus finder. The Educators says its locator lists only approved campuses, and Allied has an online store locator. If the school is missing, ask the regional office. In Islamabad, also check that the branch appears on ICT-PEIRA's register under the brand's name.
Why does SchoolNama list fewer branches than the networks do?
Our records are still catching up. We count 71 listings named 'The Educators' and 93 named 'Allied School' across our 15 launch cities, mostly in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, and only some are linked to the network. Use each network's finder alongside our city pages.
