Islamabad district authorities closed 24 government educational institutions — IMS, IMSG, IMCB and IMSB branches — from Tuesday 22 September 2026, after police personnel deployed ahead of the 27 September marches were accommodated on their premises. The institutions named in reporting are in sectors including G-6, F-6, F-7, G-7, G-8, G-9, G-10, I-9 and I-10, plus Tarnol, Rawal Dam, Noor Pur Shahan, Malpur and Taman. The closure is indefinite: no reopening date has been given, and no online-class arrangements were reported. This affects only those 24 named institutions — all other schools and colleges in the capital continue to operate as usual, so check whether your child's school is on the list rather than assuming a city-wide closure.
