Schools With Pick & Drop in Faisalabad: What Schools Say, What It Costs and How to Check a Van
Of thirteen school websites with Faisalabad campuses that we read on 24 October 2026, none described a Faisalabad bus or van service it runs, none published a fare, and SchoolNama's own directory had no Faisalabad operator to show, so this guide sets out what is published and how to test any offer you get.
Short answer
On 24 October 2026 SchoolNama's pick-and-drop directory listed no Faisalabad provider. Of thirteen school websites we read, The City School and AlHuda International School said they run no transport, though City School campuses keep van-driver lists; Al-Faisal Grammar School leaves pick and drop to parents; Punjab Group of Colleges mentions low-fare transport without detail; eight were silent and one could only be partly read. None published a fare.
How we researched this: On 24 October 2026 we checked SchoolNama's live transport directory, whether any listing was filed under Faisalabad, and a sample route search, and read the websites of thirteen school groups with Faisalabad campuses: for most we fetched every page in the site's sitemap and searched the text for transport terms, and we read the pages the remaining sites linked to. Lahore Grammar School Faisalabad's site could only be read in part. For rules and enforcement we used reports from Dawn, ProPakistani, Pakistan Today, APP and The Express Tribune dated September 2018 to September 2026. We did not see the court orders or government letters themselves, and we give no fare because no official or school source we opened published one for Faisalabad.
In Faisalabad the school run is usually settled one family at a time. A child in Peoples Colony, Madina Town or along Jaranwala Road may ride in a van the school arranges, a privately owned van or car that works a fixed loop of streets, a rickshaw, or a car shared by a few households. SchoolNama's city page at /faisalabad and area pages such as /faisalabad/peoples-colony, /faisalabad/madina-town, /faisalabad/d-ground and /faisalabad/jaranwala-road are for shortlisting schools; this guide is about getting the child there and back.
Start with our own directory, because parents who search /pick-and-drop should know what is behind it. When we checked on 24 October 2026 it held one listing in all of Pakistan, an unverified van filed under Islamabad, whose route runs through PWD Housing Society, Soan Garden and Bahria Town; its 'CNIC verified' tag was ticked by the operator, not checked by SchoolNama. The directory held no Faisalabad listing, and a test search from Peoples Colony to The City School's Peoples Colony branch returned 'No provider covers this route yet'. So we cannot name a single checked Faisalabad operator. When operators do list, the rules are worth knowing: a listing goes public as soon as it is submitted, and the Verified badge, which the page says means 'CNIC and vehicle papers were checked by SchoolNama', is added only after our team has checked documents. Feature tags such as 'CNIC verified', 'GPS tracking' or 'Female attendant' are ticked by the operator, not by us. The search compares every stop on a listed route with your pickup area rather than just the operator's base, separates one-way from both-way requests, and, as the results page puts it, you contact the provider; they never see your details first.
Then we turned to the schools. On 24 October 2026 we read the websites of The City School, AlHuda International School, Al-Faisal Grammar School, Punjab Group of Colleges, Beaconhouse, Allied Schools, Dar-e-Arqam, Divisional Public School & College Faisalabad, Faisalabad Grammar School, Kohinoor Grammar School, The Educators, Lahore Grammar School Faisalabad and the University of Agriculture's Laboratory School & College System. None of the thirteen described a bus or van service of its own for Faisalabad pupils. Two said they run no transport, one put the school run on parents, one network listed low-fare transport among its facilities without detail, eight carried nothing about the daily journey on any page we could read, and one, Lahore Grammar School Faisalabad, could only be partly read: its site loaded, but most of its content comes from a service that did not respond to us, and the admission policy we could open says nothing about transport.
The City School's answer is network-wide rather than specific to Faisalabad. Its contact page, last modified on 27 April 2026, has an FAQ that says the school 'does not offer any transportation services' but that each campus keeps a list of trusted van drivers. If your child is joining one of its Faisalabad campuses, two of which are listed on SchoolNama at /schools/the-city-school-peoples-colony-branch-faisalabad and /schools/the-city-school-faisalabad, ask the front office for that list, and remember that a name on it does not replace your own checks on the vehicle and the driver.
AlHuda International School is just as plain. Its Faisalabad admissions page, last modified on 30 March 2026, has an FAQ that asks whether the school offers transport and answers that it currently does not. A separate AlHuda facilities page describes a pick and drop service run with a transport company, but that page names areas of Islamabad and Rawalpindi only, so do not read it as a Faisalabad offer. Al-Faisal Grammar School in Nishatabad goes a step further: its rules page says parents will be 'solely responsible' for pick and drop at school timings. At the other end, an undated page on the Punjab Group of Colleges website lists 'Transportation at low fares' among the facilities it offers students, without naming a campus, a route or a price; if you are looking at one of its Faisalabad colleges, such as the one listed at /schools/punjab-college-of-science-faisalabad-faisalabad, ask that campus whether the offer applies there and what it costs.
On the other eight sites we found no page about how pupils get to school each day. That covers Beaconhouse, where we read more than 1,500 pages, among them branch pages for its Faisalabad campuses, Allied Schools, Dar-e-Arqam, Divisional Public School & College, Faisalabad Grammar School, Kohinoor Grammar School, The Educators and the Laboratory School & College System page on the University of Agriculture's website. Transport words did turn up, but only in an address near a Multan metro bus station on Beaconhouse's list of uniform retailers and in a news item on The Educators' site about free transportation offered with admission to Concordia Colleges. A silent website tells you about the web pages, not the school gate: a campus may still run or recommend vans without saying so online, so put the question to the front office for the 2026-27 year. Divisional Public School's profile on SchoolNama is /schools/divisional-public-school-and-college-faisalabad and Faisalabad Grammar School's is /schools/faisalabad-grammar-school-main-campus-faisalabad; you can set campuses side by side on /compare.
Punjab has tried to push private schools towards buses of their own, but the published orders are mostly about Lahore. ProPakistani reported on 20 September 2024 that Lahore's District Education Authority had told leading private schools in the city to provide transport for at least half their students by 1 October 2024, and that School Education Department sources said other Punjab districts would issue similar directives; we found no report of a Faisalabad directive. On 27 December 2024 ProPakistani reported that the Lahore High Court, hearing smog cases, had made the registration of new schools depend on a strict school bus policy, said fitness certificates for school buses would be mandatory with inspections every three months, and barred schools from issuing letters that release them from responsibility for students' transport; the report does not say whether this reaches beyond Lahore. In January 2025 the province widened the push. Dawn reported on 1 January that the education secretary had told private school chains to comply with the court's bus policy and that there would be 'no compromise on the fitness of the buses'; Pakistan Today reported on 8 January that the School Education Department had sought transport action plans from all private schools across the province, warning that failure would lead to cancellation of registration, and Dawn reported on 9 January that the plans had to set out how buses would be arranged for at least 50 percent of students. We found no later report on how Faisalabad schools responded, so ask any private school you are considering whether it filed a plan and what it now offers.
On price, we found no van tariff from any Punjab or Faisalabad authority, and none of the thirteen school websites published a transport charge for Faisalabad. The one Punjab figure in the reports we read is a school charge, not a van fare: ProPakistani reported on 26 January 2025 that some prominent private school networks that had begun offering transport were asking parents for an extra Rs30,000 under the heading of a transport fund, without naming the cities involved. Ask any school that offers transport whether a deposit or fund comes on top of the monthly charge. For a private van, ask for the fare in writing, whether it covers one trip or both, and which months are billed, including the summer break. Measuring the road distance from your gate to the school gate gives you a way to compare quotes, and transport belongs in the same budget as the fee items in our guide at /news/school-fees-in-faisalabad.
Gas cylinders are the rule with the longest history. Dawn reported on 6 August 2019 that the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority had banned CNG and LPG in all public service vehicles, school vans included, and said school vans would in no case be allowed to use CNG. In Faisalabad, APP reported on 2 October 2024 that the district secretary of the Regional Transport Authority had checked 129 vehicles in a day and challaned 50 for overloading, overcharging, LPG cylinders, excessive smoke and missing route permits or fitness certificates, impounding 16 and imposing Rs 131,000 in fines; the report does not say whether any were school vans. The danger is not abstract: Dawn reported on 29 September 2018 that two students were killed and ten injured in Muzaffargarh when the gas cylinder in their school van exploded, with about 30 children reportedly on board.
Faisalabad's roads add to the case for asking about speed and driving. The Express Tribune reported on 8 August 2026 that the district recorded 18,728 road accidents between January and July 2026, with 180 people killed and 21,827 injured, and that all the deaths were linked to speeding. Rules elsewhere in Punjab give parents a fair benchmark even where we found no matching Faisalabad order. APP reported on 22 August 2026 that Lahore's chief traffic officer had ordered a crackdown on overloading and gas cylinders in school transport, saying LPG cylinders would not be allowed in any van, wagon or rickshaw used for school transport and that children were not to sit in front beside rickshaw drivers. After a school van fire in Murree, The Express Tribune noted in an editorial on 30 September 2026 that the van was reportedly overloaded and had no fire extinguisher, that Rawalpindi directives already required school vans to be roadworthy, registered and fitted with fire extinguishers and first-aid kits, and that drivers should hold valid licences and vehicles fitness certificates.
Seat belts, GPS and attendants are things to ask for rather than things any Faisalabad rule we found guarantees. What the reports do support is a short list: no gas cylinder anywhere in the vehicle, no more children than seats, a driver with a valid licence, a vehicle with its fitness papers, and a fire extinguisher and first-aid kit on board. Add your own conditions on top, such as an attendant on both runs, a female attendant if you want one, a fixed seat with a working belt for every child, a live location you can follow, and a named backup driver. The vehicle type matters too: a Suzuki, a Hiace, a rickshaw and a shared car carry different numbers of children and take different times to finish a loop.
Route fit can be checked before any money changes hands. Ask for the stop list and the order of pickups, the time at your gate and at the school gate, the number of children and the longest ride any child makes, and check the afternoon run against your child's dismissal time. Use /pick-and-drop with your area and school as one starting point. Keep your child's name, school and address out of open groups until you have chosen an operator, and take the questions in our checklist at /news/how-to-choose-a-school-van-safety-checklist to the first meeting with the driver.

Frequently asked questions
Which Faisalabad schools offer transport?
Of thirteen school websites we read on 24 October 2026, none described a bus or van service of its own for Faisalabad pupils. The City School says it runs no transport but that each campus keeps a list of van drivers; AlHuda International School's Faisalabad page says it does not provide transport; Al-Faisal Grammar School says pick and drop is the parents' responsibility; Punjab Group of Colleges lists low-fare transport without naming a campus. Eight sites said nothing and Lahore Grammar School Faisalabad's could only be partly read, which is not proof of no service, so ask each campus.
Which independent pick and drop providers serve Faisalabad on SchoolNama?
None yet. On 24 October 2026 SchoolNama's /pick-and-drop directory held one listing nationwide, an unverified van filed under Islamabad, and no Faisalabad listing. When Faisalabad operators list, the search will match each stop on their routes against your area and school. Treat any operator, listed or not, to the same checks.
What does school pick and drop cost in Faisalabad?
We could not find a published figure. No Punjab or Faisalabad authority sets school van fares that we could find, and none of the thirteen school websites we read lists a Faisalabad transport charge. ProPakistani reported in January 2025 that some prominent Punjab school networks asked parents for an extra Rs30,000 transport fund, without naming cities, so ask about deposits as well as the monthly charge.
Do Punjab private schools have to provide buses?
Punjab has pushed in that direction. In January 2025 the School Education Department asked all private schools in the province for transport action plans, warning that registrations could be cancelled, according to Pakistan Today; Dawn reported that the plans had to cover buses for at least half of students. The firmest orders reported were for Lahore, and we found no Faisalabad-specific directive, so ask your school what it has put in place.
What safety features matter in a Faisalabad school van?
Start with what the rules and reports cover: no CNG or LPG cylinder, no more children than seats, a licensed driver, current fitness papers and route permit, and a fire extinguisher and first-aid kit. Then ask for an attendant, fixed seats with belts, live location and a backup driver; we found no Faisalabad rule that requires those.
How can parents check whether a route suits their child?
Ask for the stop list and pickup order, your collection time, the time the van reaches school, the number of children and the longest ride. Compare the afternoon run with your child's dismissal time, and agree a drop-off point and a backup driver before you pay.
