School Fees in Sargodha: What a First Year Costs, BISE Sargodha Dues and Punjab's Fee Rules
We could not find a 2026-27 tuition card on any Sargodha school website we opened on 14 October 2026, so this guide prices what is on paper, the board's charges and the legal limits, and hands parents a worksheet for everything else.
Short answer
As of 14 October 2026, none of the eight Sargodha schools whose pages we opened posts a 2026-27 tuition card, so we print no rupee bands. On paper: BISE Sargodha bills Rs 3,330 per pupil for 2026-28 Class 11 registration, plus a Rs 600 late fee from 6 to 21 October 2026, and at private schools Punjab's 1984 ordinance keeps admission fee and security to one month's tuition apiece.
How we researched this: On 14 October 2026 we opened the websites of PAF College Sargodha (including its 2027 poster and challan form), Army Public School & College Sargodha, the three Beaconhouse Sargodha branches, The City School's Sargodha campus and admissions pages, Lahore Grammar School Sargodha and the Cantonment Board Sargodha; downloaded and read the scanned BISE Sargodha fee notification of 30 June 2026 and its Class 9, Class 11 and SSC exam schedules from the board's own Fee & Schedule list; read section 7A of Punjab's 1984 private-institutions ordinance, PEF's FAS and EVS question pages and reports in The News, The Nation and ProPakistani; and ran a script over SchoolNama's Sargodha records. Figures found only on aggregator websites were not used.
Ask a Sargodha parent what a school costs and the answer is usually one monthly number. A child's first year in a new school is billed in many more pieces: something paid at entry, a deposit meant to come back at the end, tuition across however many months get invoiced, any annual fund, the Sargodha board's dues from Class 9 and Class 11 onwards, plus books, uniform and getting there each morning. This guide goes line by line, gives a rupee amount only where an official document prints one, and marks the rest as unpublished. SchoolNama's Sargodha listings sit at /sargodha, split between /sargodha/civil-lines and /sargodha/satellite-town.
We meant to set rupee bands for Sargodha's private schools, and the published record would not support them. We went through eight schools' official web pages on 14 October 2026: PAF College Sargodha, the Army Public School & College (APS&C) in the Cantt, Beaconhouse's Senior, Sargodha Cantt and Falcon branches, The City School in Madina Town, Lahore Grammar School, and the Cantt Public School & College listed by the Cantonment Board. Not one of them showed a tuition amount for 2026-27. The Beaconhouse pages name programmes, The City School gives its range as playgroup to O Level, LGS describes a playgroup-to-A Level campus, and the Cantonment Board lists its schools with the note that they are affiliated with FBISE. APS&C's home page offers fee payment by bank transfer but names no amount. All 12 Sargodha records in SchoolNama's own directory have an empty fee field. A 'typical' Sargodha range built from that would be invented, so we do not offer one; we did not use figures from aggregator sites.
Among those eight, only PAF College Sargodha printed any rupee figure, and it is an entry charge rather than a tuition price. Its Admission Year 2027 poster, which advertises the 60th intake into Class VIII, sets 'registration fee and allied charges' at Rs 3,500, and promises that boys who are selected get board and lodging, teaching, meals, medical care, kit, books, stationery and sports equipment without charge. Its bank challan describes the Rs 3,500 as non-refundable, with 7 September 2026 printed as the final deposit date, and online registration for that round ran from 10 August to 5 September 2026, so the 2027 window was over before this guide went up. For the Cambridge campuses and PAF College at greater length, see /news/most-expensive-schools-in-sargodha.
Two routes are priced by rules rather than by the school. The Punjab Education Foundation pays private partner schools to teach without fees. Its FAS question page says that once the partnership agreement is signed the school 'will not charge any enrolled student any fee in whatsoever form', and lists admission charges and registration fees among the examples; its EVS page says fee 'cannot be charged from Voucher Card holder students in whatsoever form' and that PEF provides Punjab textbooks free of cost. Government schools are the other route. According to The Nation's 3 April 2026 report, which quotes education department sources speaking to APP, government schools across Punjab had begun handing out free textbooks as the academic year opened, and over 30 million were to reach pupils that year. BISE Sargodha bills its dues separately, as the board section further down sets out; at a PEF school, ask who pays them, since PEF's FAS answers bar partners from charging any enrolled pupil 'registration fees' and its EVS answers do the same for voucher-card holders (PEF and TCF schools district-wide are covered at /news/low-fee-schools-in-sargodha).
For private schools the law sets the shape of a bill even where the amount is unpublished. Our copy of the 1984 ordinance's section 7A is the consolidated text that Punjab's Higher Education Department hosts as a PDF. Its sub-section (8) puts a ceiling on two entry charges: neither the admission fee nor the security may be more than a single month's tuition for that pupil. Sub-section (9) stretches the meaning of 'fee' past tuition, so laboratory and library money, and whatever else a school takes from a child, all count. Sub-section (10) means a school cannot oblige parents to get textbooks, uniform or other items from one particular seller. If a class is billed Rs T a month, sub-section (8) lets the admission fee reach T and the security reach T, no more; it does not cap other entry charges such as a registration or processing fee, so ask about those separately.
Yearly increases are where the statute and the department's later statements part ways. Under sub-section (1), once a class's fee reaches Rs 4,000 a month the school may lift it by no more than five percent on what that class paid the year before; under sub-sections (2) and (5), a school that applies with reasons sixty days or more before the new session may be allowed up to eight percent. In 2020 the department appeared before the Lahore High Court and, as The News printed on 7 July 2020, said that its eight percent notification 'had been corrected to 5 percent' to follow a Supreme Court judgment from 2019. Six years later, ProPakistani's report of 25 July 2026 had department officials telling the Punjab Assembly's standing committee on school education that a private school's annual increase cannot exceed 4% to 5%, and that their power covers increases only, not the fee a school starts from. So do not take eight percent as available; if a class at Rs 4,000 or more rises by over five percent, ask the school for the authority's approval in writing.
That ordinance has limits of its own. Its rules reach the 'institutions' it regulates, meaning privately managed colleges and schools plus any the government notifies, and 'privately managed', as the ordinance defines it, does not cover a school that a local body, the provincial government, the federal government, or any body either government has created or controls, owns or runs. Several well-known Sargodha schools are run by the cantonment, the army or the air force, so before relying on section 7A at one of them, ask the school which fee rules it follows.
For the anatomy of a chain school's bill, Allied Schools publishes a nationwide page listing its fee types, headings only and no amounts. It describes a once-only admission fee and, alongside it, an admission processing fee, neither of which is returned; an annual subscription charged when the session opens; a security deposit taken once and paid back on leaving; tuition usually billed two months ahead; and a penalty for late payment. When we followed its fee-structure link on 14 October 2026, the server answered with a 404. APS&C's policies page adds two money rules of its own: a leaving certificate is issued only once all dues are paid, and security is refundable within one year of the leaving certificate. At The City School, according to its admissions page, the order is registration fee first and the fee structure slip afterwards, together with a test appointment. In other words, ask what that registration costs, and whether you get it back, before handing it over. An annual subscription is money the school takes from the pupil, so under section 7A it is fee and should sit in your comparison alongside tuition.
BISE Sargodha's own charges are the best-documented costs a Sargodha family faces. A notification numbered 497 ASF, signed on 30 June 2026, put a revised fee table into force from 1 July 2026. Its rows: registration for SSC pupils of private regular affiliated schools, and for HSSC institutions, up from Rs 1,100 to Rs 1,500; processing up from Rs 630 to Rs 1,000; the development charge now Rs 350, previously Rs 300; sports Rs 300 at both levels, against Rs 200 for SSC and Rs 230 for HSSC before; and the certificate fee lifted to Rs 1,000 from Rs 800. The SSC admission fee for regular private affiliated schools became Rs 900 in science and Rs 850 in arts. The same notification records that the government has waived both the registration fee and the admission fee 'of students of Regular Govt. Schools at SSC level'. That waiver is for government schools; nothing we read extends it to PEF partners, which are private schools.
The board's 2026-28 Class 9 intake was billed at the pre-July rates, and its last window shut in early July. The board's schedule No. 334 of 29 April 2026 set five per-pupil items, registration Rs 1,100, processing Rs 630, development Rs 300, scholarship Rs 180 and sports Rs 200, and put the total at Rs 2,410 per pupil for private institutions and Rs 1,310 for government ones. It added that once the single-fee deadline passed, government institutions' pupils would pay the full registration fee with the late fee, Rs 3,010 each. Schedule No. 624, dated 8 June 2026, pushed the ordinary deadline back to 22 June and opened a further fortnight, 23 June to 7 July 2026, with Rs 600 added per pupil; from 8 July the board took no more online Class 9 registrations. A later notice of 3 September 2026 opened Class 9 re-admission, for pupils who had failed or got a compartment in the 2026 Class 9 annual exam, or who had passed and cancelled their result to improve their marks, from 11 to 26 September at Rs 3,330 per pupil, with hard copies due at the board by 11 October 2026. For pupils already on the Class 9 roll, schedule No. 334 allows a correction of particulars at Rs 250 per error, a subject swap at Rs 450 or a group swap at Rs 1,050 until 15 October 2026; after that date, and until two days before admission forms for the exam open, the same changes cost Rs 750 per error, Rs 850 per subject or Rs 2,050 per group. Switching a registered Class 9 pupil to another school in the same city costs Rs 7,500 under that schedule, and to a school elsewhere Rs 2,500.
For new registrations, Class 11 is the stage with a window running past 14 October 2026. Schedule No. 2564, issued on 20 August 2026 to every college and higher secondary school affiliated with the board, sets the first-year charge for 2026-28 at Rs 3,330 a head, made up of Rs 1,500 for registration, Rs 1,000 processing, Rs 300 sports, Rs 350 development and Rs 180 scholarship. Its ordinary window, with no late charge, opened on 21 August and shut on 5 October 2026. From 6 to 21 October 2026 the same registration carries a Rs 600 late fee per pupil, which makes Rs 3,930 on our sum; the schedule shows no separate government rate. The same schedule prices a change of subject at Rs 450, or a whole group at Rs 1,250, and a correction of particulars at Rs 250 per error, each until 31 December 2026. A move between institutions inside the board's area is priced at Rs 2,500, or Rs 7,500 for what the schedule calls local migration.
Entering a child for the Matric papers is billed apart from registering them. When we checked on 14 October 2026, the newest Matric exam-fee table on the board's Fee & Schedule page was press note No. 22 of 6 August 2026, written for the Second Annual Examination, which began on 6 October 2026. For one part, it lists Rs 2,730 for a regular candidate in science or another group with a practical exam and Rs 2,680 in arts without practicals, with Rs 50 more for private candidates; each group's row label adds development fund and scholarship fee to the amount. First-time private candidates also pay Rs 3,330 registration, and a first-time Class 10 or composite candidate pays a Rs 1,000 certificate fee. Regular candidates of Punjab government schools paid no exam fee if their forms were in by 19 August 2026, but their schools still had to deposit Rs 1,830 per candidate for development, processing, scholarship and sports. Forms for that sitting closed on 4 September 2026. The list held no schedule for the 2027 annual examinations on 14 October 2026, so next spring's rates were unpublished on that date.
Books and uniform are where public numbers are thinnest. Under section 7A(10) a private school cannot tie you to one seller, so ask for the book list with publisher and edition and price it at two shops yourself; we found no official 2026-27 price list to quote. Ask which uniform items must carry the school's logo, how many summer and winter sets a child needs, and whether the list changes between classes. PEF's FAS page names sales of books, uniforms, badges and stationery among the money dealings a partner school should stop, under the heading of actions that can bring penalties or cancellation, while its EVS page says books and uniform cannot be sold in the canteen.
The school run can outweigh the fee itself, and from the outside it is the line parents can least easily check. As of 14 October 2026 SchoolNama lists no van or bus operator in Sargodha; the operators at /pick-and-drop serve Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Not one of the school pages listed above quoted a price for transport. ProPakistani, writing on 4 May 2026 about Punjab's new registration rules for private schools, said schools would be required to disclose their fee structures and to offer transport to half or more of their pupils; we have only that press account, not the rules. Find out from each school whether its vans are its own or a contractor's, the annual cost to your neighbourhood, and how summer and mid-year withdrawal are billed, then run any van through the checks at /news/how-to-choose-a-school-van-safety-checklist.
To compare schools, fill in the worksheet below for each one instead of setting monthly fees side by side. Write the admission fee and the security on two different rows, and treat the security as money you will get back only if the school has promised its return, and its timing, on paper. Take the tuition voucher amount times however many vouchers come in twelve months, then add each annual fund, the board dues for that class, your own prices for the book and uniform lists, and a full year of transport. With two or three names left, /compare sets SchoolNama's records side by side, and /news/best-matric-schools-in-sargodha explains how to read a school's board results before you pay.

Checklist before you decide
- ✓Fee card: make sure it is labelled for the 2026-27 session; an older or undated one only tells you what to ask about.
- ✓Admission fee: check it does not exceed the class's monthly tuition, and find out if a separate processing or registration amount is added to it.
- ✓Security: check it against one month's tuition and get the refund date and method in writing.
- ✓Registration or test charge: learn the amount before you pay, and whether it is refundable.
- ✓Annual fund or subscription: get its rupee amount, its billing month and its purpose.
- ✓Tuition: count the vouchers in a year, including any summer months, and ask whether two months are collected at once.
- ✓Board dues: find out if BISE Sargodha's registration and exam charges come on the school's own voucher or on a separate board challan, and keep the receipt.

- ✓Uniform: list how many summer and winter sets are required and which pieces need the school crest.
- ✓Transport: ask for the annual charge to your street in writing, how summer is billed, and whose name the van and its insurance are in.
- ✓Increases: for a class billed Rs 4,000 or more a month, a rise above five percent should come with the Registering Authority's written approval; ask for it.
Frequently asked questions
Are there fee bands for Sargodha schools?
Not ones we can stand behind in rupees. On 14 October 2026 none of the eight Sargodha schools whose official pages we opened posted a 2026-27 tuition card, and SchoolNama holds no fee record for the city. The useful split is by who decides the price. A PEF FAS partner may not bill any enrolled pupil, an EVS partner may not bill a voucher-card holder, government schools hand out free textbooks, and private schools fix their own fees subject to section 7A of Punjab's 1984 ordinance.
What will a Sargodha school ask for once, at admission time?
The pages we read point to three kinds of one-off charge: an admission fee, a security deposit and a processing or registration charge. Allied Schools lists an admission fee, a processing fee and a security deposit on its national page, and The City School asks for registration money before it hands parents the fee slip. Under section 7A(8) of the Punjab ordinance, a private school's admission fee may not be higher than a month's tuition, and the same cap applies to its security. For its 2027 intake, PAF College Sargodha asked Rs 3,500, which it does not refund.
Is there a figure for Sargodha book and uniform costs?
We found no official 2026-27 price list, so we give no figure. Get the book list with editions and the summer and winter uniform list, and price both at shops of your choosing; under section 7A(10) a private school cannot send you to one supplier. According to The Nation (3 April 2026), Punjab's government schools were giving out textbooks free, and PEF's EVS page says it supplies Punjab textbooks to voucher pupils at no cost.
How much does transport change the yearly total?
It can be one of the largest lines. On 14 October 2026 SchoolNama's directory held no van or bus operator for Sargodha, and no school page we opened gave a transport price. Get each school's annual transport rate to your area on paper, with what happens in the summer months and if you withdraw part-way, and put twelve months of it into the total.
How do I work out a full-year figure for two schools?
Fill one column of this guide's worksheet for each school. The rows are the admission fee, the deposit, any registration charge, each annual fund, the tuition voucher times the number of vouchers, the board's dues for the class, books, uniform and transport. Treat the deposit as spent unless the school has put its refund in writing, then compare the two yearly totals, not the two monthly fees.
How much is BISE Sargodha registration in Class 9 and Class 11 for the 2026-28 session?
For 2026-28, Class 9 registration cost Rs 2,410 per pupil at private institutions and Rs 1,310 at government ones; that window, including the late stage, closed on 7 July 2026. Class 11 registration is Rs 3,330 per pupil; its no-late-fee window closed on 5 October 2026, and from 6 to 21 October 2026 a Rs 600 late fee is added under the board's schedule No. 2564.
Can a Sargodha private school raise fees by 8 percent?
Do not count on it. The text of section 7A(5) still allows the Registering Authority to approve as much as eight percent where a class pays Rs 4,000 a month or more. Against that, The News reported in 2020 that the department had informed the Lahore High Court of its notification being cut from eight to five; and ProPakistani's July 2026 account has officials telling an Assembly committee that rises are held to 4% to 5% yearly. A school lifting fees beyond five percent should hold that approval and show it.
