School Admissions in Sialkot: When to Apply, Documents, Tests and Open Days

Very few Sialkot schools put admission dates online. OPF Public School Sialkot says its 2026-27 admissions are open and lists its fees, The City School registers all year, and boys' cadet colleges are recruiting for 2027 now. We read official school pages, the BISE Gujranwala site and news reports on 7 November 2026 to separate confirmed facts from general patterns.

Short answer

Few Sialkot schools had published 2027-28 dates when we checked on 7 November 2026. OPF Public School Sialkot says admissions are open for 2026-27 and lists its fees. The City School registers all year. For boys, Cadet College Hasanabdal lists 4 December 2026 as its Class 8 application deadline, and Sialkot is not a test centre. Every school page describing a process set a test, interview or both.

How we researched this: On 7 November 2026 we read OPF Public School Sialkot's Admission Procedure, Fee Structure and Prospectus pages; Beaconhouse's Sialkot Campus page; The City School's admissions page; Lahore Grammar School's website; Roots International's admissions procedure and campus pages; Cadet College Hasanabdal's Class 8 (O Level) admission page; Cadet College Jhelum's Admissions-2027, General, Written Test and How to Apply pages; PAF College Lower Topa's admission schedule; the BISE Gujranwala homepage; the Punjab School Education Department homepage; the Punjab Education Foundation's Education Voucher Scheme and Foundation Assisted Schools FAQ pages; Daily Pakistan's 17 January 2026 report; ProPakistani's reports of 13 March, 13 May, 9 June, 25 September and 13 October 2026; and Minute Mirror's report of 2 April 2026. Beaconhouse's online admissions portal returned a server error and Roots' campus directory showed no campuses, so neither is used for dates. Listings on admission aggregator sites are not used. We counted SchoolNama's Sialkot campus records, events and notices with a script on the same date.

Admissions in Sialkot do not run to one timetable. Punjab's government schools follow a provincial session, private schools and school networks set their own dates, and the boarding cadet colleges open to boys from Sialkot recruit months ahead on their own schedules. On 7 November 2026 SchoolNama held 62 Sialkot campus records, and none of them is marked as having admissions open; each one asks parents to call the school or contact the campus office. SchoolNama's events file holds no Sialkot open day, and its notices file holds no Sialkot school admission notice. Every date and rule below comes from a school page, an official page or a news report we opened on 7 November 2026.

Which schools have admissions open? The clearest statement from a school in the city comes from OPF Public School Sialkot, run by the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation in Azam Block, Model Town. Its admission procedure page says admissions are open for the 2026-2027 academic session and invites parents to visit the campus to collect the prospectus and ask about enrolment and scholarships. It gives no deadline, and its prospectus page links only to a placeholder file, so ask the campus office which classes still have seats and when 2027-28 admissions will open.

OPF Public School Sialkot is also one of the few Sialkot schools that publishes its fees. Its fee structure for 2026-2027 sets an admission fee of Rs 6,000 for every class, from Play Group to Class X. Monthly tuition is Rs 3,910 for Play Group, Nursery and Prep, Rs 4,840 for Classes I and II, Rs 5,140 for Classes III and IV, Rs 6,020 for Classes V to VIII and Rs 6,790 for Classes IX and X. The table also lists a refundable security deposit, from Rs 7,820 for Play Group, Nursery and Prep to Rs 13,580 for Classes IX and X. The page says children of overseas Pakistanis with valid, registered OPF membership get a 50 percent tuition discount, for up to four children in a family. For a wider view of costs in the city, see /news/school-fees-in-sialkot and /news/low-fee-schools-in-sialkot.

The City School's admissions page says registrations are open throughout the year, and it names Sialkot among the cities where it offers A Level. It places children by their age on 31 July for sessions that begin in August, or on 28 February for sessions that begin in March or April. On its table a child needs to be 5 or older for Class 1, 3 or older for Nursery and 13 or older for Class 9. The page also links to a network-wide tour-booking site, though it gives no Sialkot open-day date.

Other well-known names had nothing dated online for Sialkot. Beaconhouse's Sialkot Campus page, for the branch on Faraz Shaheed Road, lists college, early years, primary, middle and secondary programmes with phone numbers and an email address, but no admission dates, and its online admissions portal returned a server error when we tried it. Lahore Grammar School's website lists Sialkot among its branches, but the admission test dates on that site do not name a Sialkot branch, and it tells parents to apply by visiting the branch. Roots International's admissions page says its campuses accept students from March through August and that registration is open all year, but its campus directory showed no campuses when we tried it, so we could not confirm a Sialkot campus on its own site. For these and any other school on your list, ask the office directly for the 2027-28 schedule.

When should parents apply? For a boarding cadet college, the answer is now. Cadet College Hasanabdal, a boys' college, has a dated window open for Class 8 (O Level): its admission page gives a last date to apply of 4 December 2026 and an entry test on 27 December 2026. The same page's general instructions also say forms are due 15 days before the entry test, so treat 4 December as the date to meet and confirm with the college if in doubt. Applications are accepted online only and a non-refundable registration fee of Rs 7,000 plus Rs 58 in bank charges. A candidate must be at least 12 and not over 14 on 1 August of the year of entry, with no relaxation. Sialkot is not on its list of test centres; the Punjab centres listed are Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad and Multan, and the list also includes an online option.

Cadet College Jhelum, also for boys only, has an Admissions-2027 page inviting applications for Classes 7 and 8 on open merit, but its text gives no last date or test date. Its Written Test page lists Gujranwala, not Sialkot, among its centres in Pakistan, while its How to Apply page says the written test will be held at the college, so check with the college which applies. Its How to Apply page lists a Rs 3,000 registration fee, paid online or by bank draft, and its General page gives age ranges of 11 to 13 for Class 7 and 12 to 14 for Class 8 or O Level without saying on which date age is counted.

Another boys' college shows how early the cycle runs. PAF College Lower Topa took online registrations for its 2027 selection from 8 September to 4 October 2026, with reporting tentatively on 20 April 2027; Sialkot is not one of its test centres, and that window has closed. For any other cadet college on your list, call the college for its 2027 dates before relying on a notice you find elsewhere.

Punjab's government schools work to a different year. Daily Pakistan reported on 17 January 2026 that the province's new academic year would begin on 1 April 2026, and that free textbooks for newly admitted pupils in government schools would be handed out from 5 April. ProPakistani reported on 13 March 2026 that Punjab's education officials had announced an admissions campaign for the 2026-27 session with a minimum target of a seven percent rise in enrolment, and Minute Mirror reported on 2 April 2026 that Punjab's education minister inaugurated the school enrolment campaign at Government High School Dallowali during a visit to Sialkot. We found no published 2027 admission schedule for Sialkot's government schools, so watch for the next campaign early in 2027.

Families looking for free schooling have a separate route. The Punjab Education Foundation's Education Voucher Scheme FAQ says the scheme now covers all 36 districts of Punjab and that schools may not charge voucher holders any fee, including admission charges. Parents cannot apply for a voucher directly: cards are issued after nomination by a partner school or a household survey, and the voucher can then be used at any partner school the family chooses. The foundation's FAQ for Foundation Assisted Schools says those schools may not charge enrolled students any fee and must display a PEF board on the main gate, which helps parents spot one nearby. ProPakistani reported on 13 May 2026 that the foundation gave its licensed schools until 14 May to complete enrolment for the 2026-27 session, so ask such schools early in the year.

For children from deserving families, ProPakistani reported on 13 October 2026 that the Punjab Daanish Schools had announced Class 6 admissions for 2027, open to children who have passed Class 5, with age limits of 10 to 12 for boys and 10 to 13 for girls. It said 90 percent of places go to deserving students and 10 percent are self-finance at Rs 20,500 a month, and listed a 100-mark entrance test. The report gave no deadline or campus list, and we did not confirm a campus in or near Sialkot, so check with the authority before applying.

Are tests and interviews common? Yes. Every school page we read that described its process used a test, an interview or both. The City School assesses Playgroup and Kindergarten children on reading level, vocabulary, colours and numbers; from Class I it sets a 30-minute test in English, Urdu and Mathematics with a 50 percent pass mark, and it schedules interviews with both parents. Roots International says junior and higher school applicants take an admission test. Cadet College Hasanabdal sets a three-hour written test in Mathematics, English with Islamiat, and Urdu with General Science, then calls those who qualify for an interview and medical examination at the college. Cadet College Jhelum fills places on a written test, interview and medical test, with the written test from Class 7 onwards in English, Urdu, Mathematics and Science. For preparation, see /news/school-admission-test-preparation, and for age cut-offs see /news/class-1-admission-age-pakistan.

Board registration is a separate step for older children. Sialkot falls under BISE Gujranwala, whose website lists Sialkot among the districts where it registers students and holds SSC and HSSC examinations. Its homepage carried a reminder about biometric registration for Class 9 for the 2026-28 session but showed no dates. ProPakistani reported on 9 June 2026 that all boards across Punjab had extended Class 9 registration for the 2026-2028 session, without a late fee from 25 April to 22 June 2026 and with a Rs 600 late fee per student from 23 June to 7 July 2026. It also reported on 25 September 2026 that BISE Gujranwala raised its admission processing fee for Classes 9 to 12 from Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,300, effective 19 September 2026. Schools normally handle board registration, but if your child is moving school in Class 9, ask whether it has been done.

What documents will you need? Every school that listed documents asked for the child's birth certificate or B-Form. The City School asks for two recent passport-size photographs and an attested copy of the birth certificate, and for transfers the last school's report card plus copies of the provisional and character certificates. Roots International lists provisional and character certificates, the original school leaving certificate, two photographs, the last report card, an attested birth certificate or Form B and a copy of the father's or guardian's CNIC. Cadet College Hasanabdal requires an attested copy of the NADRA Form-B, and Cadet College Jhelum asks for a photograph, the B-Form or birth certificate and the payment slip. Our fuller checklist is at /news/school-admission-documents-pakistan.

Where can parents find open days? We found no dated open day for the 2027-28 intake on any Sialkot school page we read on 7 November 2026, and SchoolNama's events file holds none for the city. OPF Public School Sialkot invites parents to visit the campus, and The City School offers tour bookings online; for other schools, ask for a visit directly. Because seats are limited, apply to more than one school and keep every deadline and test date in one place. Build a shortlist on the Sialkot city page (/sialkot), see /news/best-schools-in-sialkot, /news/best-matric-schools-in-sialkot or /news/best-o-level-schools-in-sialkot for a wider view, read /news/best-time-to-apply-school-admission-pakistan for timing, and compare with /news/school-admissions-in-gujranwala, since both cities sit under the same board.
