School Admissions in Sargodha: When to Apply, Documents, Tests and Open Days

Very few Sargodha schools put admission dates online. PAF College Sargodha's 2027 intake is already at the final interview stage, The City School registers all year, and Beaconhouse's three Sargodha branch pages give no dates. We read official school pages, the Sargodha board's website and news reports on 7 November 2026 so parents can tell confirmed dates from general patterns.

Short answer

Few Sargodha schools had published 2027-28 dates when we checked on 7 November 2026. PAF College Sargodha, which admits male candidates only, began final interviews for its 2027 intake on 3 November 2026, with final medicals from 30 November. The City School registers all year and offers A Level in Sargodha. Cadet College Hasanabdal takes Class 8 applications until 4 December 2026, but Sargodha is not a test centre.

How we researched this: On 7 November 2026 we read PAF College Sargodha's homepage and its Admission Schedule, Admission Process, Advertisement 2027 and E-Testing & Prospectus Availability Centres pages; Beaconhouse's branch pages for its Falcon, Sargodha Cantt and Senior campuses in Sargodha; The City School's admissions page; the Allied Schools Sargodha Region page; Roots International's admissions procedure and campus pages; Cadet College Hasanabdal's Class 8 (O Level) admission page; Cadet College Jhelum's Admissions-2027, General, Written Test and How to Apply pages; PAF College Lower Topa's admission page; the BISE Sargodha homepage; the School Education Department Punjab homepage; the Punjab Education Foundation's Education Voucher Scheme and Foundation Assisted Schools FAQ pages; APP's 14 March 2025 report on the Sargodha division enrolment drive; Daily Pakistan's 17 January 2026 report; The Express Tribune's 17 August 2026 report; and ProPakistani's reports of 13 March, 13 May, 9 June and 13 October 2026. Beaconhouse's online admissions portal returned a server error, we could not load a website for Divisional Public School & College Sargodha, PAF College Sargodha's 2027 advertisement is published only as poster images, and BISE Sargodha's revised Class 11 registration schedule is a PDF attachment whose dates we did not read, so none of these is used for dates. We counted SchoolNama's Sargodha campus records, events and notices with a script on the same date.

Sargodha has no single admission calendar. Punjab's government schools follow a provincial session, private schools and networks set their own timing, and the cadet and PAF colleges that draw Sargodha families, including PAF College Sargodha in the city itself, run their own selection cycles months ahead of term. On 7 November 2026 SchoolNama held 12 Sargodha campus records, and none of them carries an admission date we have confirmed with the school; each one tells parents to contact the campus. SchoolNama's events file holds no Sargodha open day, and its notices file holds no Sargodha school admission notice, only two province-wide board exam notices that name Sargodha among Punjab's boards. Every date and rule below comes from a school page, board page or report we opened on 7 November 2026.

Which schools have admissions open? The most fully documented cycle in the city belongs to PAF College Sargodha, near Queens Chowk, and it is already well advanced. Its admission schedule page, which sits alongside a 2027 advertisement page, lists newspaper advertisements on 19 July and 9 August 2026, challan forms and the prospectus from 10 August 2026, and online registration from 10 August to 5 September 2026. E-testing, an initial medical and an initial interview were marked tentative for 10 to 19 September 2026. Final interviews run from 3 November 2026 to 26 January 2027 and final medicals from 30 November 2026 to 19 February 2027, with final selection and clearance by Air Headquarters on 15 March 2027 and selected candidates reporting at the college on 11 April 2027. Its Admission Process page says candidates must be male citizens of Pakistan or Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The age rule and fee for 2027 sit in poster images on the advertisement page that we could not read as text, so we do not state them here.

Sargodha families should note that PAF College Sargodha does not test in Sargodha in its first round. Its list of e-testing centres has 15 cities, among them Faisalabad, Lahore, Mianwali, Kharian, Multan and Rawalpindi, and Sargodha is not one of them; the college appears only under other centres where the prospectus is available. Its Admission Process page does list Sargodha, together with Lahore, as a place for the final medical test, alongside Islamabad and Karachi.

For boys aiming at other cadet colleges, Cadet College Hasanabdal has a dated window open now for Class 8 (O Level): its admission page gives a last date to apply of 4 December 2026 and an entry test on 27 December 2026, with applications accepted online only and a non-refundable registration fee of Rs 7,000 plus Rs 58 in bank charges. The same page also carries a general rule that forms close 15 days before the entry test; the stated last date of 4 December 2026 is the earlier of the two, so apply by then. Sargodha is not on its list of test centres in Pakistan, which includes Faisalabad and Lahore. The college says a candidate must be between 12 and 14 years old on 1 August of the year of entry, with no relaxation.

Cadet College Jhelum, a residential college for boys, has an Admissions-2027 page inviting applications for Classes 7 and 8, but none of its text pages gave a last date or test date. Its Written Test page lists centres in Pakistan including Faisalabad, Lahore and Gujranwala, but not Sargodha, while its How to Apply page says the written test will be held at the college itself. The registration fee is Rs 3,000, and its General page gives age limits of 11 to 13 for Class 7 and 12 to 14 for Class 8 or O Level. PAF College Lower Topa, also for boys, ran online registration for its 2027 selection from 8 September to 4 October 2026, so that window has closed; Sargodha appears on its page only as a final medical centre.

Private schools in the city published far less. Beaconhouse has branch pages for three Sargodha campuses: the Falcon Campus, listing early years, primary years and middle years programmes; the Sargodha Cantt campus on Queens Road, listing primary, middle and secondary programmes; and a Senior Campus listing O Level and a college programme. None gives admission dates, and the online admissions portal they link to returned a server error when we tried it. The City School's admissions page says registrations are open throughout the year, though registering does not guarantee a seat, and it names Sargodha among the cities where it offers A Level. Allied Schools' Sargodha Region page says the region has 48 operating campuses, 41 of the Allied School System and 7 of the EFA School System, but it lists no admission dates. For these schools, ask each campus office for its 2027-28 schedule.

We could not check several other well-known Sargodha schools online. We could not load a website for Divisional Public School & College Sargodha, and we found no official admission page for the Fazaia schools at PAF Base Mushaf; the dated notices we found for both were on third-party listing sites, some years old, so we have not repeated them. Roots International's admissions page describes a network-wide routine, but its campus directory showed no campuses when we tried it, so we could not confirm a Sargodha branch.

When should parents apply? It depends on the route. For the boarding colleges we checked, applications close months before entry: PAF College Sargodha first advertised its 2027 intake on 19 July 2026 and closed online registration on 5 September 2026, and Lower Topa's registration for the same year closed on 4 October 2026. For Punjab's government schools, the academic year starts in April. Daily Pakistan reported on 17 January 2026 that the new academic year would begin on 1 April 2026, with free textbooks for newly admitted pupils in government schools from 5 April, and The Express Tribune reported on 17 August 2026 that Punjab's School Education Department had approved a new curriculum for Classes 1 to 5 from the start of the new academic session on 1 April 2027. We found no published 2027 admission schedule for Sargodha's government schools.

Sargodha's own past pattern helps. APP reported on 14 March 2025 that the commissioner of Sargodha division had inaugurated that year's enrolment drive for government schools, to run in two phases with targets for each district, for children aged 5 to 16. ProPakistani reported on 13 March 2026, in a report on Punjab's measures for government schools in the 2026-27 session, that education officials had announced an admissions campaign with a minimum target of a seven percent rise in enrolment and that teachers would be given admission targets. Neither report gives a 2027 date, so treat March as a likely period to watch rather than a confirmed one.

Families looking for free schooling have a separate route. The Punjab Education Foundation's Education Voucher Scheme FAQ says the scheme covers all 36 districts of Punjab and that schools may not charge voucher-holders any fee, including admission charges. Parents cannot apply for a voucher directly: cards are issued after nomination by a partner school or a household survey, and can then be used at any partner school. The foundation's Foundation Assisted Schools FAQ says partner schools may not charge enrolled students any fee and must display a PEF board on the main gate. ProPakistani reported on 13 May 2026 that the foundation gave its licensed schools until 14 May to finish enrolment for 2026-27, so ask early in the session. ProPakistani also reported on 13 October 2026 that Punjab Daanish Schools had announced Class 6 admissions for 2027, with age limits of 10 to 12 for boys and 10 to 13 for girls and 90 percent of places for deserving students, but it gave no deadline or campus list, and we did not confirm a Daanish campus in Sargodha district.

Are tests and interviews common? Yes. Every school page we read that described its process used a test, an interview or both. PAF College Sargodha starts with an intelligence test, then multiple-choice e-tests in Mathematics, General Science, English and Urdu, followed by an initial medical and interview, a final interview board and a final medical; its process page says candidates need 6/6 eyesight without glasses. The City School assesses Playgroup to Kindergarten children on reading level, vocabulary, colours and numbers; from Class I it sets a 30-minute test in English, Urdu and Mathematics with a 50 percent pass mark, and it schedules interviews with both parents. Cadet College Hasanabdal sets a written test in Mathematics, English with Islamiat, and Urdu with General Science, and Cadet College Jhelum tests candidates for Class 7 onwards in English, Urdu, Mathematics and Science, with different subjects for first-year entry. ProPakistani said the Daanish Schools' Class 6 entrance test carries 100 marks. For preparation, see /news/school-admission-test-preparation, and for age cut-offs see /news/class-1-admission-age-pakistan.

Board registration is a separate step for older pupils. ProPakistani reported on 9 June 2026 that all Punjab boards extended Class 9 registration for the 2026-2028 session, with forms accepted without a late fee from 25 April to 22 June 2026 and with a Rs 600 late fee per student until 7 July 2026. On 7 November 2026 the BISE Sargodha homepage carried a revised schedule for online Class 11 registration for the 2026-28 session, posted on 10 October 2026, and a readmission circular for the same registration dated 21 October 2026, but the dates are in a PDF attachment we have not checked, so check the dates on the board's site or with your college. If your child is changing schools in Class 9 or Class 11, ask the new school whether board registration has been done.

What documents will you need? The City School asks for two recent passport-size photographs and an attested copy of the birth certificate and, for transfers, the last report card plus copies of the provisional and character certificates. Cadet College Jhelum asks for a recent photograph, a B-Form or birth certificate and the payment slip, and Cadet College Hasanabdal for an attested NADRA Form-B. PAF College Sargodha's process page lists no documents, but its advertisement page offers an educational certificate form to download. Most families will need the child's B-Form or birth certificate, photographs, the parent's CNIC and records from the last school, so gather them early. Our wider checklist is at /news/school-admission-documents-pakistan.

Where can parents find open days? We found no dated open day for the 2027-28 intake on any Sargodha school page we read on 7 November 2026, and SchoolNama's events file holds none for the city. The City School's admissions page has a link to book a tour. For Beaconhouse and any other school, ask the office for a visit, ideally before you pay a registration fee.

Because most Sargodha schools did not publish a 2027-28 deadline, apply to more than one school and keep each school's dates in one calendar. Start a shortlist on the Sargodha city page (/sargodha), compare costs in /news/school-fees-in-sargodha and /news/low-fee-schools-in-sargodha, and see /news/best-schools-in-sargodha or /news/best-matric-schools-in-sargodha for a wider view. /news/best-time-to-apply-school-admission-pakistan covers timing more broadly, and /news/school-admissions-in-faisalabad shows how the neighbouring city compares. Then confirm every date with the school itself.

Checklist before you decide

  • ✓If your son is aiming for PAF College Sargodha, note that its 2027 intake was first advertised on 19 July 2026 and registration closed on 5 September 2026; watch the college website for the next advertisement and check its list of e-testing centres, which does not include Sargodha.
  • ✓If your son is applying to Cadet College Hasanabdal for Class 8 (O Level), check the age rule first, then apply online by 4 December 2026 and pick one of its listed test centres, which include Faisalabad and Lahore but not Sargodha.
  • ✓If Cadet College Jhelum is on your list, call the college for the 2027 deadline and test date, since its pages give neither.
  • ✓For Beaconhouse, Allied, Divisional Public School, the Fazaia schools and other Sargodha schools, call the campus office and ask for the 2027-28 admission schedule.
  • ✓The City School registers year-round, so register early if it is on your list; registering does not guarantee a seat.
  • ✓For a Punjab government school, watch for admissions in spring; the 2026 academic year was due to begin on 1 April and the 2025 Sargodha division enrolment drive was inaugurated in March.
  • ✓If you need a free place, ask nearby schools showing a PEF board whether they have seats, since voucher cards come through partner-school nomination or PEF surveys.
  • ✓Gather the child's B-Form or birth certificate, passport-size photographs, the parent's CNIC and the last school's report card and certificates in advance.
  • ✓If your child is joining a new school in Class 9 or Class 11, ask whether board registration with BISE Sargodha has been done.
