Under a Sindh School Education and Literacy Department circular, government schools in Sindh move to winter timings from 1 November 2026 to 31 March 2027. Single-shift primary, secondary and higher secondary schools will run from 8:30am to 2:00pm Monday to Thursday, and from 8:30am to 12:30pm on Friday. For double-shift elementary, secondary and higher secondary schools, the morning shift runs from 8:00am to 12:45pm Monday to Thursday and 8:00am to 10:30am on Friday. The evening shift runs from 12:45pm to 4:45pm Monday to Thursday and 10:45am to 1:15pm on Friday. The circular cut school hours by one hour 'until further orders', so the province may change these times again. Parents of children in double-shift primary schools should confirm the exact times with the school.
