High-Fee Schools in Sargodha: What Their Websites Show, and the Fee Figures They Leave Out

Sargodha's air force feeder college lists tuition, boarding, meals, uniform and books as free for the boys it selects and asks parents to sign a service bond, while the private Cambridge chains keep tuition off their websites. Here is what each school's own pages say, and how to build a real bill.

Short answer

Not one fee-charging Sargodha school we checked prints its tuition online (as of 6 October 2026), so this guide sets out no premium fee tier. Beaconhouse, The City School, Lahore Grammar School and Army Public School & College describe classes but give no rupee figure. PAF College, the air force's residential feeder school, charges Rs 3,500 to register and lists tuition and boarding as free for selected boys.

How we researched this: On 6 October 2026 we read the official websites of PAF College Sargodha (admission pages, 2027 poster, challan form and 2026 prospectus, facilities and rules), Army Public School & College Sargodha Cantt, Beaconhouse's three Sargodha branch pages and its Sargodha college page, The City School's Sargodha campus and admissions pages, and LGS Sargodha's site, plus Punjab's 1984 private-schools ordinance and news reports from July 2020, July 2026 and September 2026. SchoolNama's Sargodha listings were counted by script. Aggregator fee sites were looked at but not relied on. Nothing is ranked.

Parents searching for Sargodha's highest-fee schools usually have two quite different kinds of school in mind. One is PAF College, the residential school near Queens Chowk founded in 1953 to groom boys as future air force officers. The other is the set of private campuses offering Cambridge classes: three Beaconhouse branches and its college wing, The City School in Madina Town, Lahore Grammar School and the Cambridge section at Army Public School & College in the Cantt. We went to each school's own website on 6 October 2026 looking for a current fee schedule. The private schools and APS did not print a single tuition amount. The only rupee figure we found on any official page was PAF College's registration charge. Fee aggregator sites print monthly numbers for several of these schools, but the ones we looked at do not say where the figure came from or which session it covers, so this guide quotes none of them and does not rank anyone by price.

PAF College is the odd case that upends the idea of a premium school. Its 2027 admission poster, for the 60th entry into Class VIII, says boys who are selected receive accommodation, tuition, messing, medical care, uniform, books, stationery and sports gear free of cost. The fee printed on its challan form is Rs 3,500 for registration and allied charges, non-refundable, paid at any HBL branch into an account titled College Fund PAF College Sargodha. That window has closed: online registration ran from 10 August to 5 September 2026, the challan's last date was 7 September, and Phase I (e-test, initial medical and interview) was scheduled for 10 to 19 September, dates the admission schedule marks as tentative. The admission schedule gives 11 April 2027 as the date selected boys report to the college. Free tuition does not mean no cost or no commitment. The college's 2026 prospectus says parents must sign a bond that their son will serve in the flying, engineering or another branch of the air force, subject to final suitability, plus a separate indemnity bond for gliding training. Boys may not stay at the college over the holidays and the prospectus leaves travel arrangements to parents; it also says boys pay to call home from the college's phone office. Some websites claim families pay a monthly college fund contribution as well. We did not find that figure on the college's pages, but its rules list non-payment of college dues among the grounds for expulsion and allow boys authorised pocket money, so ask the admission section in writing what a family pays each term.

What PAF College asks for instead of money is a narrow profile. The candidate must be a Pakistani or AJK boy aged over 11.5 and under 13.5 on 1 January 2027, must have passed Class VII by April 2027 (Cambridge-system pupils may apply), and must have 6/6 eyesight without glasses, because selection follows the medical standard for the air force's flying branch. He sits a computer-based intelligence test, then an academic test in Mathematics, General Science, English and Urdu, then interviews and a final medical by the PAF Central Medical Board. The college says there are no reserved seats or quotas. It also describes itself as an institution whose students are under obligation to pursue a career in the air force, lets only boys with a first division in Matric stay on for FSc, and its website reports that 74 percent of pre-cadets over the last 24 years went on to the PAF Academy (the 2026 prospectus gives about 72 percent over 29 years). A place here, with tuition and boarding provided, comes with a career commitment; it is not a cheaper version of a private day school.

PAF College's facilities page is still worth reading even if your child will never apply, because it shows what a well-equipped Sargodha campus can look like. It lists a library of more than 20,000 books, a language lab, two computer labs, a hobbies club running woodwork, aeromodelling, music and photography, counselling by psychologists, an MI room with air force doctors and referral to the PAF Hospital, and breakfast, a long-break tea and snack, lunch and dinner from a mess run under the Principal's supervision. Outdoors it names five football grounds, five hockey fields, five basketball courts, a squash court, two tennis courts, a gymnasium, a swimming pool, a horse riding club and gliding training for senior boys. When a fee-charging school tells you its facilities justify the price, use a list like this as a yardstick and ask which of these your child would actually use, and how often.

Army Public School & College in Sargodha Cantt, established in 1991 and run under a Board of Governors, takes both defence and civilian children on merit. Its admission policy describes an aptitude test or interview for the youngest class, written tests from the second early-years class up to Class VIII, and a test in English, Urdu, Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Computer and Mathematics for Class IX. A Hafiz-e-Quran gets a 20-mark concession at entry to board classes, and board forms go to FBISE only for pupils with at least 75 percent attendance. Its home page mentions a Cambridge International School section, an auditorium and fee payment by bank transfer. On money, the site says only that a full month's fee or fine is charged for any part of a month, that a returning pupil pays the full re-admission fee, and that the security deposit can be reclaimed within a year of the leaving certificate. No tuition figure appears, so ask for the schedule for the stream you want.

Beaconhouse runs three Sargodha branches, and its branch locator pages give programmes and addresses but no fees. The Senior Campus on Queens Road, Chak 47 NB Cantt, lists the College Programme and O Level. Its Cantt branch faces Umar Park on Queens Road and names three programme stages on its page: primary years, middle years and secondary school. The Falcon Campus on Link Road at 47 Pull, near Garden Town, lists early years, primary and middle years only. Beaconhouse's college page for Sargodha is where the premium pitch is clearest: it describes an Access Centre whose career advisers help with subject choice, university applications, essays and financial aid forms, says standardised tests such as the SAT are offered on campus, and names clubs from robotics to photography and five sports. If university counselling is the reason you are considering a high fee, ask how many students each adviser looks after and where last year's A Level class actually enrolled.

The City School's campus page puts its Sargodha branch in Madina Town and gives its range as playgroup to O Level, without fees. Its network admissions page explains the order of events: parents fill in the form and pay a registration fee, and only then receive the fee structure slip with a test appointment. In practice that means you could pay to register before you see what the school will cost. Phone the branch first and ask for the slip, or at least ask what the registration charge is and whether it is refundable. Lahore Grammar School's Sargodha site, which gives its address as Noman Akram Shaheed Road near 47 NB, describes a campus running from playgroup to A Level, with assessments that are ongoing and unannounced rather than scheduled exams. It publishes no fees, and the newest item on its notice board is dated 2019, so do not treat anything on that site as current without checking.

With no published schedules, the most reliable rules about what a premium bill may contain come from Punjab law rather than from the schools. We read the consolidated copy of Punjab's 1984 private-institutions ordinance that the Higher Education Department hosts. Its section 7A bites on any class whose monthly fee, counting the increase, is Rs 4,000 or more, and lets that class's charge climb by at most 5 percent a year. Anything bigger needs a reasoned application lodged two months or more ahead of the session, and the text then lets the Registering Authority approve up to 8 percent. Treat that 8 percent with caution. The News reported on 7 July 2020 that Punjab's education department told the Lahore High Court its notification allowing an 8 percent rise had been corrected to 5 percent in line with a 2019 Supreme Court judgment, and ProPakistani reported on 25 July 2026 that department officials told a Punjab Assembly committee that private schools may not raise fees by more than 4 to 5 percent a year. Ask the district registration office which limit it applies. Admission fee or security may each be no larger than one month's tuition, the word fee covers lab, library and any other amount taken from a student, and parents cannot be forced to buy books or uniform from a named shop. There is one catch for this city in particular. The ordinance applies to privately managed institutions and excludes those owned or managed by a body set up or controlled by the federal or Punjab government. Whether a forces-linked school falls inside or outside that definition is a question to put to the school and the district registration office; we do not assume either way.

A pending proposal could matter more to high-fee schools than to anyone else. The Nation (29 September 2026, from Lahore) and ProPakistani (28 September 2026) report that schools may be registered for four years with a fee tied to their monthly tuition, rising from Rs 10,000 for a school charging Rs 1,500 a month to Rs 1 million for one charging above Rs 20,000, with renewal at half the rate. Both say it still needs approval from the competent authority. If it goes ahead, ask whether the cost will reach your bill.

Transport and exam fees are the extras parents most often leave out. None of the official pages we read mentions school transport or what it costs, and SchoolNama's pick-and-drop directory has no Sargodha operator listed yet, so ask each school who runs its vans and what twelve months of rides cost. None of them explains how board or Cambridge exam entries are charged either, so ask whether those sit inside tuition or on a separate bill, and get last year's amounts in writing rather than estimating them.

Who actually gains from paying more? Not every child. PAF College suits a boy who wants the air force, meets its medical bar and whose parents accept the service bond; for anyone else that route is not on offer. A Cambridge chain may earn its fee for a child heading to A Level and a university abroad, and may be wasted on one who would do just as well in a strong Matric school closer to home. Our guide to low-fee schools in Sargodha (/news/low-fee-schools-in-sargodha) covers free and token-fee options across the district, the best-schools guide (/news/best-schools-in-sargodha) shortlists by curriculum and area, and the Matric guide (/news/best-matric-schools-in-sargodha) looks at board results. On SchoolNama, /sargodha carries 12 Sargodha listings: seven sit under /sargodha/civil-lines and five under /sargodha/satellite-town, the three Beaconhouse branches among them, and /compare puts your shortlist next to each other. None of those listings carries a fee record yet, so the numbers must still come from each school, on paper.

Checklist before you decide

  • ✓Before paying any registration fee, ask the school to send this session's fee schedule for your child's class, on letterhead or by email.
  • ✓Ask what the registration charge is and whether you get it back if your child is not admitted.
  • ✓Compare the admission charge and the security deposit with one month of tuition; neither should be larger. Ask how and when the deposit comes back.
  • ✓List every item outside tuition: lab, library, IT, trips, uniform, books, board or Cambridge exam entries and transport.
  • ✓Ask how this year's increase for your child's class compares with last year's fee; if it is above 5 percent, ask which authority approved it.
  • ✓For a forces-linked school, ask whether it is registered under the Punjab ordinance and who regulates its fees.
  • ✓For PAF College, check the next entry's dates on the college website from July onward, and ask in writing what college dues a family pays.
  • ✓Walk the facilities you are told the fee pays for and ask how many periods a week your child's class uses them.
  • ✓Find out the ratio of pupils to counsellors and request a written list of where last year's leavers went.
  • ✓Ask who runs the school vans and the full-year cost for your route.

Frequently asked questions

Which Sargodha schools charge premium fees?

We cannot say from published evidence. On 6 October 2026 none of Beaconhouse's three branches, The City School, Lahore Grammar School or Army Public School & College showed a tuition amount on its website, and the aggregator fee lists we looked at give no source or year. Ask each school for its written 2026-27 schedule and compare the full yearly totals yourself.

Is PAF College Sargodha really free?

Its 2027 admission poster says selected boys receive accommodation, tuition, messing, medical care, uniform, books, stationery and sports gear free of cost. Applicants pay a non-refundable Rs 3,500 registration and allied charge into the college fund account. The 2026 prospectus requires parents to sign a bond that their son will serve in the air force and leaves holiday travel to families, and the college rules treat unpaid college dues as grounds for expulsion, so ask what a family pays each term.

What does a premium fee cover in Sargodha, and what costs extra?

The Sargodha schools we checked do not publish a breakdown, apart from PAF College's list of free items. Punjab's ordinance treats lab, library and any other charge as part of the fee, and limits admission fee and security to one month of tuition apiece. No school we checked says how transport or board and Cambridge exam entries are billed, so ask for both in writing.

What makes a premium campus different?

On their own pages, the differences are curriculum and support: Cambridge O and A Level routes, university advising such as Beaconhouse's Access Centre, clubs, sports grounds and counselling. These are the schools' descriptions, not inspections, so see them yourself and ask about weekly use by your child's class.

Can a Sargodha school raise its fee by any amount?

Not where Punjab's ordinance applies and the class is billed at least Rs 4,000 monthly. The text caps the yearly rise at 5 percent and lets the Registering Authority allow up to 8 percent, but Punjab's education department told the Lahore High Court in 2020 it had cut its 8 percent notification back to 5 percent, and told an Assembly committee in July 2026 that the limit is 4 to 5 percent. The ordinance covers privately managed schools, so ask a forces-linked school who regulates its fees.

Does every child need a high-fee school?

No. A high fee only pays off if your child will use what it buys, such as a Cambridge route to A Level or university counselling. For many children a strong Matric school nearer home is the better fit, and PAF College's provided places are open only to boys who take the air force track, with their parents signing its service bond.
