PEIRA makes fire & life-safety certificates mandatory for Islamabad private schools

The Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority (PEIRA) has directed all private schools in Islamabad to obtain fire and life-safety certificates from the CDA and submit their fire-safety NOCs within 15 days, warning that non-compliant schools will be sealed. The requirement, reported on 11 September, is aimed at protecting students and staff from fire and other emergencies.
