KP: the 'three-day school week' notice circulating on social media is forged

A document claiming KP educational institutions would observe holidays on Friday, Saturday and Sunday circulated widely on social media from 17 September 2026. The Education Department clarified that no notification had been issued regarding three-day holidays in educational institutions under orders from the provincial or federal government, and said the document carried forged signatures of the Education Department and Administration Department. This is the second forgery in the same month, after an earlier fake claiming Friday and Saturday closures. Reporting indicates the circulating document is an edited version of a genuine March 2026 fuel-crisis notification, which is why it looks convincing.
