Balochistan bans events and organisational activities in all government colleges without prior permission

The Directorate of Colleges and Higher Education, Balochistan issued a directive in mid-September 2026 telling principals to enforce strict compliance with 2020 orders of the Home and Tribal Affairs Department prohibiting all types of events and activities organised by organisations inside educational institutions without prior permission from the competent authority. It covers government boys' and girls' colleges, postgraduate, degree and intermediate colleges across the province. Violations are to be dealt with under the Balochistan Employees' Efficiency and Discipline Rules. This affects Class XI and XII students at government intermediate colleges, including in Quetta; it does not apply to schools.
