Schools and colleges affiliated with the Federal Board have until Tuesday 6 October 2026 to submit Registration Returns for their Class XI (HSSC session 2026-28) students at the normal fee. FBISE notification No. FBISE/REGN/NOTIF/HSSC/2026-28/1512, dated 7 July 2026, sets "Last date for submission of Registration Return with normal fee — 06 October 2026" at Rs 1,500 per candidate inland and US$100 abroad. After that, for candidates transferring from another board or an equivalent examination body, the fee becomes the registration fee "plus Rs.1500 per month per candidate beyond 06-10-2026" (abroad: US$30 per month); the notification sets no general monthly slab for an ordinary late return. Supporting documents for students who passed SSC from another board — verified result card, equivalence certificate, migration NOC — must also reach the Assistant Secretary (HSSC Registration) or the FBISE One Window Cell by the same closing date. This is an obligation on the institution, not the student, but a missed return is what leaves a candidate unregistered later, so parents of Class XI students at FBISE-affiliated schools are worth asking whether the school has filed. FBISE notes that registration alone does not entitle a candidate to sit an examination.
