O Level in Sukkur (2026): Which Schools Show Evidence of Cambridge Teaching, and What to Ask

A search for the best O Level schools in Sukkur tends to turn up well-known network names. That is not the same as a list of campuses that teach the Cambridge O Level programme in Sukkur today, and in Sukkur the two lists turn out to be quite different. This guide checks each likely name against what the school itself publishes. It does not rank schools, because the evidence needed to rank them does not exist in public.

Start with Cambridge International's own register, the authoritative list of registered centres. Its city menu for Pakistan has no Sukkur entry. The one centre returned under the menu's generic Sindh option is Kith Schooling System, whose own website gives a Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi address. Searching all 428 Pakistani centres the register returned on 25 September 2026, we found no centre with Sukkur or IBA in its name. That is not proof that no Sukkur school is registered. The register lists centres under whatever name they registered with, and nine entries are simply called The City School with no campus given. It does mean the register cannot confirm a Sukkur O Level school for you, so the evidence has to come from the schools.

The City School is a name many Sukkur parents will know, and its own campus directory gives a clear answer. Filtered to Sukkur, the directory shows one campus, the Indus Campus on Shikarpur Road, and describes its levels as PG - HSSC & Matric. Filtered to Sukkur and O Level, it returns the message "There are no campuses matching your criteria." Some third-party summaries, including The City School's Wikipedia article, still describe the Indus Campus as running Playgroup to O Level. On the school's own current listing, that is not the case. SchoolNama lists the campus as The City School Indus Campus Sukkur at /schools/the-city-school-indus-campus-sukkur-sukkur. If you have heard otherwise from the campus, get it in writing.

Beaconhouse is the other large network in the city. Its branch page for the Sukkur Campus, at Friends Cooperative Housing Society on Shikarpur Road, lists the Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme, Secondary School Programme, Matriculation and Intermediate. The page does not mention O Level or Cambridge, and it does not say what the Secondary School Programme leads to. Beaconhouse Sukkur Early Years, in Dehli Muslim Cooperative Housing Society, lists its Early Years Programme, Primary Years Programme and Project Based Learning, with nothing at secondary level. SchoolNama's record for the main campus, /schools/beaconhouse-sukkur-campus-sukkur, is tagged Matric and FSc. Because the published page leaves the question open, ask the campus directly whether its Secondary School Programme prepares students for Cambridge O Level, and if so for which subjects and exam series.

IBA Public School Sukkur is where the O Level evidence is strongest, with one caveat. On 25 September 2026 the school's website returned errors, so we relied on Internet Archive copies of its pages. The senior-school page, archived in January 2025, says classes IX to XII are affiliated with two boards: the Aga Khan University Examination Board and Cambridge. The CAIE section, archived in August 2025, describes a three-year O Level programme. In the first year students are assessed internally in all eight subjects. They sit three minor subjects in Cambridge exams at the end of the second year and the remaining five major subjects in the third. The same page names Mathematics, English, Urdu, Islamiat, Pakistan Studies, Biology, Computer Science, Physics and Chemistry among the subjects, and offers A Levels by a staged AS-then-A route. These are the school's own words, but they are more than a year old. Ask the school to confirm the current programme.

SchoolNama's directory carries this school as Public School Sukkur on Military Road, at /schools/public-school-sukkur-sukkur. The Endowment Fund Trust's Sindh heritage record places The Public School on Military Road and, in an entry documented on 4 June 2013, says it had recently been handed over to IBA Sukkur as a sister organisation. The school's hostel page, as archived in January 2025, describes four boys' hostels and one girls' hostel. If those still operate, it is the only option we found inside the city that combines a documented O Level programme with boarding for both boys and girls, so ask the school to confirm current boarding places. SchoolNama holds no fee record for it, and none of the archived pages we opened published fee amounts.

The second documented option is outside the city. Cadet College Pano Aqil advertises Cambridge O and A Level alongside regular BISE classes on its homepage. Its 2026-27 prospectus places it 22 km from Sukkur on the National Highway towards Rahim Yar Khan, and describes a boys' residential college. Cambridge's register lists it as accepting private candidates. That matters for a student resitting a paper or sitting a subject their own school does not enter. It is the only school in this guide that publishes a Cambridge fee schedule. An undated sheet headed Fee Structure (Cambridge System), linked from its admissions page on 25 September 2026, lists annual charges of Rs 534,400. These include Rs 300,000 tuition and Rs 123,000 messing. One-time charges of Rs 92,000 cover admission, uniform and kit, and security. The sheet gives a grand total of Rs 626,400 and a Rs 20,000 discount for paying the year as a lump sum. Because the sheet is undated, confirm it is current before relying on it. The admissions page lists a regular fee structure for classes 7 to 12 but does not say at which class the Cambridge stream takes new cadets, so ask.

Army Public School & College is another name worth checking. SchoolNama lists an APS&C record in Sukkur at /schools/army-public-school-and-college-sukkur. We found no official page confirming O Level at a Sukkur APS campus. The Army Public Schools' Cambridge-stream page, for its APSIS schools, does not list individual campuses, so it cannot confirm a Sukkur one. We have therefore not listed it as an O Level option. Ask the school directly if it is convenient for you. St. Mary's High School is in the same position. Its Wikipedia entry, which is flagged as needing more citations, lists "Matric and Cambridge" in an unsourced infobox field and says the school prepared students for Cambridge O Level in the 1940s, but we found no official website confirming a current O Level programme.

SchoolNama's own data adds less here than we would like. A script run against all five of our campus files finds 28 records for Sukkur. None carries an O Level curriculum tag, 21 have no curriculum recorded at all, and the seven that do are tagged Matric or Matric and FSc. None holds a fee record. One map-derived record is labelled O Levels Building in New Sukkur, with no school name attached, and we could not tie it to a specific institution. Most Sukkur listings on the /sukkur city page are basic profiles until schools claim and complete them, so on this question the schools' own publications are the better source.

On fees, the honest position is that nothing verifiable is published for any school inside Sukkur city. IBA Public School's archived admissions page mentions a fee freeze for 2023-24 but gives no amounts. The City School and Beaconhouse pages we opened publish no Sukkur fee schedule. Ask each school for a written schedule covering admission, security, annual charges and Cambridge examination entry fees. Ask whether Cambridge entry fees are included or billed separately, since they add up across eight subjects. Cadet College Pano Aqil's sheet is useful as a reference point for full boarding, but it is not comparable with a day-school fee.

Apply the same care to results. None of the schools in this guide publishes cohort-level Cambridge results. IBA Public School's archived page speaks of a track record of outstanding results but gives no figures, and a claim like that cannot be compared between schools. Ask for the number of candidates entered in the most recent series, the subjects they sat and the full grade distribution. With those three numbers you can compare two schools fairly, and without them you cannot.

One wider development is worth knowing about. Cambridge's O Level page says that from June 2028 it will begin moving schools in administrative zones 3 and 5 from O Level to the equivalent IGCSE. Cambridge's zone lookup places Pakistan in zone 4, which that announcement does not name. Nothing on those pages changes a Sukkur family's plans today. Still, a school that teaches O Level should be able to tell you how it will handle any future transition.

Commute differs a lot between these options. The City School and Beaconhouse campuses are on and around Shikarpur Road, IBA Public School is on Military Road, and Cadet College Pano Aqil is a residential campus outside the city, so the daily journey only matters for the city schools. SchoolNama lists no pick-and-drop provider for Sukkur yet, so /pick-and-drop will not help here for now. Ask the school whether it runs its own transport and whether your neighbourhood is on a route.
